A Colourful Fall Watercolour Workshop with Dianne Bersea

Back by popular demand, multi-talented artist Dianne Bersea will be instructing a fall-themed watercolour workshop on Friday, November 14th from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm upstairs in the Ryga Arts Centre.

With colourful fall leaves at hand, we'll create a seasonal motif to reveal the magic of watercolour transparency with overlapping layered elements. This class will appeal to beginners with some basic watercolour knowledge and more advanced painters who'd like to expand their repertoire. Masking fluid and watercolour pencils supplied for experimentation.

Suggested supplies:

  • A selection of fall leaves.
  • 2 sheets of good quality watercolour paper, 8 x 10" or 9 x 12" as individual sheets or in a watercolour block.
  • 3 brushes - #8 or #10 round, 1/2" flat, and mop brush or similar. Optional...one OLD brush for masking. Dianne will have lots of extra brushes.
  • 1 sheet 11 x 14" sheet of plexiglass, veneer, canvas board panel or other flat surface for securing watercolour paper.
